Hartham Park Estate Shoot - Interiors

I had the fortunate opportunity to shoot a glorious stately-home-come-modern-office over the weekend. A fantastic Georgian mansion that has been converted to operate as some rather flash serviced offices. Full of giant staircases, fireplaces, wall to wall oil paintings of former owners, it's a sight to behold; however it doubles a 'togs nightmare with high ceilings eating flash power and dark nooks and crannies throwing shadows everywhere like an episode of Trapdoor.

Did I mention I also work there?

Photos after the jump::

The Hall

The entrance hall of the manor house is decked with chandelier strung high-ceilings, leather sofas and ornate regency furniture. The volume of this room was pushing the little speedlights to their limits.

The Grand Staircase

The centrepiece of the Manor, the grand stair winds up from the Hall to a large open plan landing. 2 aspects are decorated with single-storey height stained glass windows and a signature decorated ceiling.

The Library

Wall to wall wooden panelling, give this room a warm, traditional feeling befitting it's style. All I needed was a purple velvet smoking jacket and I would've been at home!

Next?

In the intermittent gaps of fleeting sunshine and cloud, I managed to grab a few exterior shots. I'll post these later in the week.
